1863 Model, .58 caliber rifled musket by Remington dated 1865 in original good to very good condition. The metal surfaces show a light gray to brown patina some scattered minor erosion and pinprick pitting. The lock markings are good withgood clear Eagle at center of lock and also on the bolster. The rear portion of lock and breech area both stamped 1865. The Left breech of barrel shows “P” and proofs along with inspectors initials “G. M & A”. The stock is also very goodplus with some minor dings, mars, scratches and a light coating of wax or linseed oil with two good cartouches on the left side. A ramrod and bayonet are included. The action is good and the bore is good with normal aging. Est.: $900-$1800
