1861 Contract musket by E. Robinson, NY dated 1863, bored to smoothbore. Stock and barrel reduced, showing old tacks and hide wrap at forend. The gun now measures 43” overall with 27” barrel. The metal surfaces show a deepbrown patina finish, the rear sight is removed. The stock shows varying sizes of tacks and couple of ornaments that are old. The forend wrap is of a thick tanned hide and also appears to have significant aging. Dr.Sterling Fenn Collection. Est: $500 - $1,000
