1860 Henry rifle martially marked and inspected by C. G. C., Serial number 3921. This rifle remains in very good original condition with a patina finish showing faint traces of blue mixed in a natural patina. The address is sharp and the metal surfaces are fairly crisp. The frame shows a mellow patina with tight side plates and even natural aging. The stock shows some dings, marks, minor weathering, small losses and use consistent with military issue and storage. There is someslight case hardening visible in the patina on the hammer and the lever. An above average martial Henry that we would rate as a solid 7 on a 1 to 10 scale. With a large research folder documenting use of these rifles by first D.C. Cavalry, Maineunits and “Special Force Rangers”. Est.: $27,500-$55,000
