1860 Henry rifle in very good plus condition showing considerable original blue, serial number 10383, all matching serial numbers. The barrel shows 20% to 30% original blue mixed in with a natural uncleaned brownpatina finish. The markings are very crisp, edges are sharp and there has been no cleaning in modern times. There are some minor dents and scratches and just normal aging. There is a small amount of pitting and erosion but all in all the barrel and forward magazine area are very crisp. The original sights are retained. The frame is very sharp with a light patina and great fit to side plates. The brass shows sharp edgesand no evidence of polishing in modern times. The hammer, lever and small parts show strong traces of original finish. The stock is very good plus with 75% to 85% original varnish, some minor scratches, mars, dingsand just normal aging.
