1860 Henry rifle, .44 rimfire caliber, brown patina finish, good wood stock, serial #4246. The barrel shows a grey to brown patina finish with some scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting, some faint finish mixed in, good edges, sharp barrel address, and no cleaning whatsoever. The frame and buttplate show a matching dark honey color patina. There are some nicks on the edges of the frame, some minor marks, but generally good overall and pleasing. The stock shows the Henry bump and the rifle is equipped with sling swivels. The stock is good to very good with impeccable wood to metal fit, some scratches, mars, dings, consistent with carry and wear, but no cleaning whatsoever and absolutely untouched and out of the attic condition overall. The tang shows a brass stud for a small peep sight which is missing. The action is good, the bore is slightly rough. Correct original rear sight and small parts. Shows transition rounded buttplate and 4-piece metal rod in butt. The screws are rusted and not removable easily, but the wood and buttplate absolutely appear to match. A good untouched Henry rifle with no cleaning out of a old Reno collection who obtained it from Fort
