1860 Henry rifle, .44 rimfire cal., in very good+ original condition, showing considerable original blue finish, serial #9721. The barrel shows 50-70% original blue beginning to drift and tone with someerosion, pinprick pitting mostly developing on the left side of the barrel, and some very colorful areas of bright blue. The edges are crisp, the markings are sharp. The frame is very crisp with a nice patina and tightfit to the sideplates. The hammer and lever show considerable traces of case hardening; the stocks are very good+ to near fine with excellent wood to metal fit, a couple of minor scratches and slight marks, and atleast 70% original varnish. The right side of the butt stock has been neatly carved with the name Carsley, which was probably by a professional carver. The rifle is mounted with original sling swivels, and shows theproper Henry bump underneath the swivel. All original sights and small parts are retained; there is beautiful color on the bolt and firing pin. The action is tight, the bore is fairly bright and the rifle has
