1860 Henry rifle 44 rim fire caliber serial #7315, period “Camp engraved and inscribed”, “Jacob Rarick, 69th Ohio U.S.V. V. 1865” on left side plate surrounded by stamped stars with nicely engraved eagle on left front offrame surmounting union shield adorned by 2 union flags. The right side of the frame shows a star border around outline and a circular pattern on the front of frame. The barrel remains in very good condition showing 50-60% blue drifting to patina with good edges, good markings and some very blue areas. The edges on the frame are nice and crisp with well fitting side plates. The frame is near fine with a light naturalpatina. The stock is very good plus to near fine showing a few impressions, marks and normal use. The butt plate shows a matching patina to the frame and is stamped with stars also matching to the frame. The action isgood; bore is good and all original small parts and sights. The stock and butt plate match, screws are not numbered in this range.
