1860 Army revolver, .44 cal. percussion, 4-screw frame, brown patina finish, serial #17844, with "O" marking beneath serial numbers on frame, trigger guard and backstrap. The butt is inscribed "6th MisCav", the marking is old and our consigner did not know it was there. The grips show a drilled hole through which a leather loop was strung to be used as a simple lanyard. The gun shows a heavy brown patina and light toslightly heavy pitting and erosion, with heavy pitting on the cylinder and right muzzle. The barrel is loose on the pins, matching numbers, cylinder number not visible due to rust. Fair condition with a lot ofcharacter; grips good with matching wear. Est.: $800-$1,600
