1860 Army Colt, .44 caliber percussion revolver 8” barrel, 4-screw variation, serial #19285. The revolver shows a deep brown patina with traces of blue and case hardening mixed in. There is some scattered erosionand pinprick pitting, with some mars around the wedge area that are minor and some nicks on the cylinder. The grips are good with some small dings, mars, scratches, losses at the toes, no cartouche visible, and are generally good. The barrel address is sharp as is the patent markings. Engagement dates are partially visible with about 20% scene. Matching serial numbers other than cylinder which is #19893, approx. 700 numbers off. There is some bright military blue beneath the loading lever. There is an “O” stamp on the triggerguard, which may indicate supplied with a shoulder stock. A couple of minor screws are replacements. Action is good, bore is bright. Dr. Sterling Fenn collection.
