1860 Army Colt, .44 cal. percussion with desirable fluted cylinder, 8" barrel, Army sized grips, in range that may have been shipped to Confederacy shortly before the war, serial #712. The barrel and cylindershow light cleaning long ago during period of use, now drifting back to patina. The barrel and cylinder show some light to moderate pitting, but the barrel address is sharp and patent marks visible on cylinder.There are some nicks and mars on the edges of the fluted cylinder. The frame shows some light to moderate pitting and is a 4-screw. The backstrap and trigger guard show about 40% original silver plate that is bubblingand peeling. The loading lever shows a mottled patina with a trace of case hardening, some minor pitting. The grips are good, with marks from attachment of stock and small losses, normal wear and aging. All matching serial numbers, good action, fair bore. There are several Army's known within the 700 range that were shipped to Atlanta. Est.: $3,750-$7,500
