*12 Gauge Browning Grade V Superposed Shotgun. Serial no. 58720. 12 gauge. 28-inch barrels with matted ventilated rib with double beads. Coin finished action fully engraved with floral designs and game scenes: Left side: group of pheasants in a woodland setting, right side: group of ducks in a woodland pond. Underside shows a pair of grouse in flight and a pair of hares. Ejectors. Single selective trigger. Non-automatic safety. Gold plated trigger. Long tang. Previous owner's name engraved under the top lever. Finely checkered semi-pistolgrip stock of highly figured walnut with a round knob. White Line recoil pad. Finely checkered standard size fore-end. The gun was made in 1959. Later tan synthetic pig skin covered trunk case with green baize interior and two brass locks. Data: Barrel Dimensions: Bores: 0.731/0.731 inches. Chokes: 0.030/0.014 inches. Chambers: 2 3/4 inches. Minimum wall thickness: 0.030 inches. Stock Dimensions: Pull: 14 3/8 inches. Drop at comb: 1 1/2 inches. Drop at heel: 2 3/8 inches. Cast: None. Weight: 7 pounds, 14 ounces. Condition: Excellent, as partially redone. Barrels show 98-99% bluing. Excellent bright bores. Bottom bore shows slight streaking. Top barrel shows a slight bulge 2 1/2 inches from the muzzle. Stock shows a recoated finish with a few mostly light marks. Hardened recoil pad. Trunk case in excellent condition. Brass locks are discolored. Stock and action need spacers to fit snugly in case.
