SIGNED BY CJ BUCK PICTURED IN "M9 BAYONET THE AUTHORIZED HISTORY". Per "M9 The Authorized History" by Sherman Neyman, estimated 20 blades were made in 1996, but 10 were never assembled. This bayonet was the last variation of Buck's military issue M9. Overall: 12 1/4". The 7 1/8" blade made of 425M Stainless steel, 57 plus RC hardness has a black oxide finish. Left side has Buck 188 stamping w/ CJ Buck signature on left side & "PROTOTYPE" on right side. Blade lacks a fuller groove. Standard M9 grossguard, OD Green Zytel handle & pommel having a special barrel nut. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: certificate of Authenticity from Buck Knives confirming the configuration of the bayonet signed by CJ Buck & Sherman Neyman. Copies of pages from M9 Bayonet the Authorized History that feature this bayonet. CONDITION: near excellent overall w/ light wear streaks from scabbard friction.
