1:30PM SPECIAL FEATURE SATURDAY MAIN EVENT! 1964 PLYMOUTH SPORT FURY HEMI 4 SPEED
You are looking at one of the finest examples of a SUPER STOCK era car available anywhere in the world today.

Starting with a rust-free Arizona car. We purchased the Fury from the 3rd owner in 2010 and began a rotisserie restoration in 2012. All body panels, including floors and trunk pans are original with no filler or patches. The car was sent to “Investment Vehicle Restorations” of Granum Ab in 2014, where it was painted by Terry Levair, a noted Mopar expert restorer, and one of the best painters in the business.

I spent 2014 mulling over drive train options, leading to the obvious choice. In 2015 the Elephant was brought into the room. 565-inch Hemi Stroker puts out 670 horsepower. Don, the builder, said a cam swap and re-worked heads would make 900 horsepower. The Hemi was mounted with an original Chrysler “K” Member and Shifts through the correct 18 Spline Chrysler 833 4 speed, and a new Hurst Shifter, as well as a new Centre force clutch. The rear end is a Ford 9” with 3:50 Gears and Sure grip.

One of the highlights of this car is the slightly larger but completely re-engineered “MAX WEDGE HOOD SCOOP”. For my vision the Mopar “Cross-Ram” intake was mandatory. The challenge was the extra 1 ½” of clearance that the stock scoop wouldn’t clear. The cost of this Custom Metal scoop was $8,000.00 even after many hours were written off by one of Edmonton’s best Hot Rod Fabricators, I believe we achieved a crown jewel look whether the hood is open or closed.

The audio system for my Sport Fury is provided by the 3” Exhaust, with electric exhaust cut outs that will rattle windows and scare the ladies when all 8 barrels are kicked in.

4-wheel disc brakes bring the beast to a halt, and the old school Torque Thrust D’s keep her on the ground. I have $102,000.00 into the car excluding labour.

Like many of us, I often get more satisfaction from building a car than owning it. I don’t show anymore, and already have a couple of 10 second track monsters, so my Fury is up for sale for the first time.
