This beauty is a factory correct and fine example of the end of the "Muscle Car" era. This 1970 Pontiac GTO is finished in Verdoro Green exterior paint and fresh decaling compliments the palomino interior and powered by a fresh & professionally re-built 400 cu.in V8 motor paired with a 3 speed automatic transmission has been recently serviced and now drives a new 3.55:1.00 posi-trac rear end. The 15″ PMD wheels and chrome trim rings are mounted with 255/60 BFGoodrich.
The current owner has focused on the factory correct mechanics of this vintage car which is now considered sound from the tires & rims, up. Original radio and a/c are fully functional along with the hood tach, a unique element of this car.
The cabin features seating upholstered in beige vinyl with a black dashboard, beige console, and door panels. Additional equipment includes front bucket seats with headrests, lap belts for all occupants, a center console, manual windows, faux woodgrain accents, polished door sills, and a push-button AM radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer indicates 1,448 miles, but total mileage is unknown.
Original build sheet, factory service manual and car cover comes with the vehicle plus all original still functioning equipment that has been recently replaced. Final note: This is not a numbers matching or PHS documented vehicle and all bills & receipts for work done are also included . This is simply a mechanically sound "return to the past" that needs a just a little more TLC!!!
