US model 1903 Springfield .30-06 caliber bolt-action military issue rifle, serial #974739. The rifle shows a high-standard marked WWII replacement barrel dated 8-44. The rifle has been arsenal rebuilt and shows95% parkerized finish, just some slight losses on the edges of the triggerguard. The stock shows good “SA” “GAW” cartouche with ordnance wheel right above the trigger. Some small parts were also arsenal replaced attime of refurbish. Condition is very good plus overall. The stocks show just some minor scratches, storage marks. Two “P” inspections behind trigger guard. Very good plus overall. The markings are sharp, borebright. With Boyt 1944 dated sling. The Marine Corps ended up with the majority of these rebuilt WWII 1903s. Dr. Sterling Fenn collection. Est: $400 - $800
