Two Jambiya Knives with Elaborate Gold and Silver Mounting
Both knives are fitted with curved blades, flared grip pommels and the Arabian-style sheaths with sharply curved tips. 1) Gold and silver fitted jambiya, with a 7" unmarked blade. The hilt is silver, with zig-zag engraving, darker accents, silver and gold accent bands around the center and near the sheath, and a pair of 3-D gold flowers on one side. OAL: 10 1/2". Sheath has a leather panel on the rear, with zig-zag backed floral engraving with darkened accents on the gold and silver plates on the front. 2) Gold accented jambiya, with a 6 1/4" triple fuller blade and a horn grip with wire accented decorative bands. OAL: 10". Two patches of red leather are present on the rear of the sheath, with the front covered in engraved and wire accented nearly pure gold panels, with floral and zig-zag patterns.

Condition: 1) Very good, with light spotting and a small amount of pitting on the sharpened blade, flaking and shrinking of the leather, mild dents and a mixed patina on the accent plates. 2) Good, with spotting on the right side of the blade near the tip, thin cracks in the horn, scuffs and glue repairs on the leather, and very good gold panels with light dents and a few small areas of lost or loose wire.
