This lot, on which you have the opportunity to bid, consists of three Navajo rings. Each ring is of sterling silver and features a turquoise stone. Two of the rings feature Sleeping Beauty Turquoise stones. The first has what looks like a flower petal design with a leaf along one side. The Sleeping Beauty Turquoise nugget is surrounded by roped silver. It is marked, "FP", but the initials are unknown. The ring measures 1 3/8" x 1" and is a size 6. The second ring featuring Sleeping Beauty Turquoise also has a botanical theme with a trio of leaves on each side surrounding the stone, which is more in-set. The ring is marked, "Sterling" and measures about 7/8" x 1" and is a size 8 1/4. The third ring features a polished turquoise stone not often seen: Morenci Turquoise. Morenci Turquoise was mined in S.E. Arizona and has an unusual matrix of irregular iron pyrite--fool's gold. The Morenci mine was an open pit copper mine that also yielded a lot of turquoise. The mine is now depleted, making the turquoise collectible. The ring shows a large polished Morenci Turquoise stone surrounded by roped silver. The sides are a simple wedge shape stamped with straight lines. The ring measures 3/4" x 1" and is a size 7 1/2.
