This is an excellent early original Los Castillo Taxco Sterling Silver, Coral, and Turquoise Squash Blossom Large Necklace and Cuff / Bracelet. Los Castillo Silversmithing is some of the finest from the Mid-Century early movement in Taxco, Mexico. Some of the sterling silver pieces from Los Castillo have sold at auction for more than $4,000 with similar jewelry pieces showing less detail and no stones have sold for over $3,000.00. The piece shows an antique finish sterling silver with a serpentine coiled snake design accentuated with wonderful authentic polished turquoise and oxblood coral stones. Both the bracelet and necklace are stamped by “925 / TA-25 / MEXICO” with the necklace being marked “LOS CASTILLO TAXCO”. Each section of the necklace is hand designed and worked from a piece of sterling showing the utmost craftsmanship and excellent quality. The necklace pendant shows a three-tiered section having four rows of stones and a chandelier like affect, truly a wonderful design. The matched set shows fine original condition. The necklace measures 19.5 inches long and the bracelet has an inside circumference of 9 inches.
