Smith and Wesson Hand Ejector Service Model of 1917, .45 caliber, Serial #88291. The pistol is in very good overall condition with a 3” barrel with red ramp front sight. The pistol retains the majority of its bluedfinish with small mars, wear at the muzzle and on the cylinder. The pistol features muted case hardening on the hammer and trigger. The smooth custom wood grips are in good condition showing mars and loss offinish from carry and use. The butt is marked, “US ARMY MODEL 1917” and the lanyard loop has been removed. Interestingly, the pistol features British Nitro proofing on the right side of the barrel. Est.: $300-$600. (C+R).
