Smith and Wesson 1st Model Hand Ejector revolver, .44 S&W Special caliber, Serial #14480. The pistol is in fine overall condition with a 4” barrel. The pistol retains approximately 95% of its blue finishwith wear at the muzzle and a drag line on the cylinder noted. The pistol features a five screw frame and vivid case coloring of the hammer and trigger. The checkered wood medallion grips are in very good condition.The bore is very good, the action crisp and markings are sharp. The pistol includes a Smith and Wesson factory letter confirming all features and indicating the pistol was shipped to Herreshoff Manufacturing Co., noaddress given, on April 3, 1917. Also known as the .44 New Century Triple Lock, 1st Model Hand Ejectors were introduced in 1908 and manufactured until 1915. A great World War I era Triple lock with a 4” barrel.
