Sharps New Model 1863 percussion carbine, .52 caliber, serial #C29569. The gun remains in good to very good original condition showing 20-40% original blue and case hardening and drifting to patina with some just startingerosion, normal aging. The markings are sharp, edges crisp, there are some bright areas of color where protected. The stock shows some dings, mars, scratches, and an outline of cartouche beneath saddle-ring bar. The stock is generally good to very good. There is a large “2” stamped near the belly of the buttplate on the left side. The correct saddle ring bar and sights are all retained. The action is good, bore is goodwith strong rifling and minor erosion that may clean. Dr. Sterling Fenn collection. Est: $1,400 - $2,800
