Remington 1863 Percussion contract “Zouave” rifle, .58 cal., 33” barrel with bayonet lug on right side of muzzle, blue and case hardened finish, brass furniture and patchbox, correct ramrod, wood stocks, slingswivels. This gun is in overall excellent condition showing the majority of its original blue finish on the barrel and approx. 80% muted original case colors on the lock plate that is dated 1863 with finespread eagle, U.S., and Remington’s Ilion, N.Y. markings; barrel at breech is dated 1863 with V, P and eagle head proofs along with “STEEL” and R.K.A inspector’s initials on left side of barrel, also at breech; crispaction, bore appears strong, wood stock is in overall fine to excellent condition with two sharp inspector’s cartouches on left side above trigger guard. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
