This is a RARE set of 29 stereoviews of Morrison Cave from circa 1907 published by N.A. Forsyth in Butte, Montana circa 1907. The Lewis and Clark expedition camped near the caves in 1805, however, they were not discovered until 1882. The first tours of the caverns were conducted by Dan Morrison. Many of the stereoviews show an image from within the extensive cave system with some that show the landscape nearby. Each one has a caption and is marked on the back "Published by N.A. Forsyth, 120-N. Mont. St., Butte, Mont.". The stereoviews are in very good condition and come in the original display box Titled "Morrison Cave Through the Stereoscope". The box measures 2.5" x 4" x 7.75".
