Original oil painting on board entitled Red Heads by noted wildlife artist David Maass signed lower right. Approx. 30” by 23”. Fine to excellent condition, nicely framed, matte slightly discolored and could use freshening– otherwise near excellent. David Maass (1929 - ) has won 33 duck and conservation stamp competitions including two of the coveted Federal Duck Stamp contests and was named Artist of the Year by Ducks Unlimited andmany other organizations including the National Wildlife Art Collector's Society. His works have been features in innumerable books and magazines. His work hangs in the collection of the Minneapolis Institute ofthe Arts and he was termed a Master Artist by US Art in 1997.
