This is an original G.C. Wentworth wax sculpture titled "Wild Cow Milking". Gerry Wentworth was a Great Falls, Montana artist who grew up in the era just after Charles Russell's life. He was largely self taught and spent the majority of his life working in painting, sculpture and wood carving. Wentworth's works have been widely exhibited in such places as the C.M. Russell Show, the Phippen Art Show and the Frank Tenney Johnson Show. In 1981, he won Best of Show at the Northwest Americana Art Show. This piece shows two drunken cowboys trying to milk the cow. The sculpture shows fantastic detail and artistic ability. The wax sculpture is in very good condition. It measures 7.5" x 21.75" and is 11.5" tall. The wax sculpture comes with a Certificate of Authenticity which grants the right of the new owner to have it cast if they so choose. Also, a printed biography of the artist in included.
