Mexican Dragoon Uniform from The Alamo
Screen worn dragoon, or mounted infantry, uniform for one of the Mexican soldiers appearing in The Alamo (1960). The film was directed by John Wayne, who also starred, and depicted the titanic struggle between Texans, including Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie, and the numerically superior Mexican army of Santa Anna at the 1836 Battle of the Alamo. This uniform has a red tunic with tan frontpiece, a blue collar with white accents and tan pants with red stripes down each side. Includes a Western Costume Company with the typewritten production number of 2101-2. The Alamo was one of Wayne's most personal films and memorabilia from it is quite scarce, making this a true treasure for any Wayne or Western fan!
