The lot features an authentic original very early hand carved Hopi Native American Indian Kachina doll from circa early 1900. The piece shows a wonderful original polychrome mineral painted design and is carved of Cottonwood. The Kachina shows the correct rectangular eyes and is accented by a geometric designed wearing blanket. The feet are semi-circle carved and shows the unique and traditional paddle dance crown with a ridged top. The piece shows polychrome mineral paint in red, white, blue, and dark blue. The piece shows all original condition being represented in overall good condition for its age. Provenance: From a Historic Early Native American Indian and Old West collection in Billings, Montana. Measures overall 16”H x 3.5”D x 3”W.
