Featured in this lot for you is a wonderful Hallet, Davis & Company Grand Piano. This exceptionally crafted piece of art displays the model 40D plaque in front of the tuning pines, and is additionally marked with the serial number between the bass and tenor strings, reading: 48199 - Attributing the pianos manufacture to 1900-1901. Hallet, Davis & Company is one of the oldest Boston piano manufactures, starting in 1835, and still creating fine pianos till this day - albeit, the company had to outsource their production to Korea, and now China in 1985. The piano boasts a deep red mahogany veneer, and showcases beautifully intricate trim. Overall, the piano shows good condition for age, with a golden tone, and a fantastic presence. Though the piano does have some scattered wear to the carvings, and fade to the finish. The piano measures approximately 77" long, 56" wide, and 39" tall.
