Good quality 19th century flintlock pistol signed “Patrick Liverpool”. The pistol is approx. .62 caliber smoothbore, 15” overall, 9” barrel, full stocked to the muzzle, with iron mountings. The metal surfaces show aneven brown patina finish with some scattered light pitting and erosion. The wood is good to very good with some minor nicks, mars, opening around the pin holes and normal use. The pistol is in its original flintlockconfiguration and is of good quality with nice engraving. Patrick was one of the few female gunmakers in the 19th century and apprenticed to Rigby of Dublin. The ramrod is an old replacement. Est: $600 - $1,200
