Reborn in 1999 under the name Ithaca Classic Doubles of Victor, New York, the reintroduction of the new NID (New Ithaca Double) began at serial number 470000. Ithaca produced only about 50 of these shotguns a year. Single ivory bead on the solid concave matte rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked cylinder/cylinder with ejectors. The receiver and break lever are casehardened and the remaining surfaces are finished blue. The receiver is engraved with a broad leaf vine design with a duck in a marsh scene on the left side and a pheasant in a field scene on the right side. The bottom of the action is marked "ITHACA CLASSIC DOUBLE" over the top of an oval panel with a snipe in a wooded scene and "VICTOR N.Y." on the bottom. The break lever and trigger guard have a small amount of the same engraving pattern. Double gold plated triggers, automatic tang mounted safety and mounted with fancy English walnut hand checkered beaver tail forearm and pistol grip stock with an "ITHACA/CLASSIC DOUBLES" marked grip cap and a checkered buttplate, marked the same as the grip cap. Complete with a green canvas covered hard takedown case with leather trim, green felt lining with a leather Ithaca Classic Doubles label on the inside of the lid. Length of pull is 14 7/8 inches.
BBL: 28 inch solid rib
Serial Number: 470182
