Colt model 1860 Army revolver, .44 caliber percussion, 8” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, cartouched wood grips, serial #116667. The barrel shows 40-60% original blue drifting to brown with some erosion andpinprick pitting, just beginning normal age. The cylinder shows traces of finish and too aggressive cleaning long ago, showing traces of original blue, 10-20% light cylinder scene and fully visible light engagement dates onthe edge. The frame, loading lever and hammer show 20-40% case hardening mixed with a graying patina with some light rainbow colors still reflecting. The backstrap shows traces of blue. The grips show strong outlines ofcartouches on each side, small losses, and are at least good to very good. There is some bright military blue beneath the welding lever and the barrel lug shows a double “H” inspection. The cylinder shows “H” and “S”inspections. The backstrap shows small “T” inspection. The front sight has been reduced slightly. There are some minor nicks on the edge of the wedge and around the wedgeport area. The wedge is matching and shows
