Colt 1911 Government Model, .45 ACP semi-automatic pistol, civilian series, blued finish, diamond checkered wood grips, serial #C32934. The pistol retains approx. 75-85% original blue finish that is evenly thinningand dulling slightly, some just beginning surface erosion, pinprick pitting just starting. Some even wear to the grips, good markings, good edges, generally very good overall with all correct parts. Very goodbore. Consignor’s note attached states ’Circa 1916’ and “JW (illegible), 5th Infantry, 1917” and indicates he obtained this information from factory letter which was not available at time of cataloging.
