Colt 1860 army Richards conversion .44 centerfire caliber, traces of blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, serial #3202. The revolver shows all matching serial numbers with serial numbered conversion ringand loading gate which are numbered 1597. The profile of the bottom of the barrel is slightly different showing the plug and added ejector rod housing. The barrel shows good traces of blue in protected areas with sharpbarrel address. The cylinder shows 30-50% cylinder scene with engagement dates visible and some slight blue on the back of the cylinder. The frame shows traces of case hardening within a smoky grey patina. Thebackstrap shows a hint of finish where protected at the top. The grips are good with some small losses, minor dings, mars. The barrel, frame, triggerguard, backstrap and cylinder are all matching. The front sighthas been slimmed slightly. The action is good, bore good. An interesting variation within the Richards series. Dr. Sterling Fenn collection. Est: $1,750 - $3,500
