This lot includes two turn of the century butchers occupational shaving mugs. Each mug depicts a steers head, with criss-crossing butchers tools. These mugs were primarily used between the 1870's through the 1920's, and almost every man in the country had his own shaving mug, often time personalized with his occupation and adorned with his name, these mugs are no exception! The first mug has a bright white and pink primary background, with gold colored font and borders. The mug shows the name "Henry Walter". The second mug is primarily all white, with a robin egg blue vignette, and a beautiful floral motif. Both mugs show good condition. The "Henry Walter" mug shows some crazing, and the "W. Habersad" mug has some slight brush staining. The larger of the two mugs measures 3 5/8" tall, 4 1/4" deep, and 3 5/8" across.
