Vintage blowback operated single action semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Browning Long, manufactured in Birmingham, England circa 1909-1914. The model 1909 is scarce with just under 1,700 made in its six year production span. Features a blued refinish, 5" barrel with round blade front sight, windage adjustable rear sight with 'v' notch, smooth trigger, serrated round hammer spur, arched grip safety, push button magazine release on the heel, 8 round magazine, slide catch on the top of the slide with push button release, steel frame with lanyard loop on the left side and aftermarket checkered walnut grips. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, barrel, breechblock and trigger. Other markings: [winged bullet]/”W&S”, “WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD/LONDON & BIRMINGHAM/9M/M AUTOMATIC PISTOL” and various Birmingham proofs. The slide, barrel & trigger guard retain approximately 70% of their collective reblued finish showing edge wear, scattered losses and some light pitting under the finish. The frame, grip safety, hammer and trigger have been left in-the-white. Action is sound, the bore is fair with faint rifling & scattered pin prick pitting, the markings are good and the wood grips are very good. Condition is NRA Fair. ***C&R Firearm***
