Sporterized U.S. Military contact bolt action service rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, manufactured circa 1918. Features a parkerized finish, floated 24" barrel marked "HS[flaming bomb]6-44", globe front sight, adjustable B&M aperture sight on the back of the bolt, internal five round box magazine with cut-off on the left side of the receiver, turned down bolt handle, three-position safety on the bolt, serrated trigger, sling swivels, smooth half-length walnut shoulder stock with straight grip & trapdoor metal buttplate, The stock is marked with a "P" inside a circle, "OCEK," "RA," crossed cannons, "FJA" inside a rectangle, "OCEK" inside a rectangle and a number of small stamps forward of the bottom metal. The top of the bolt handle is marked(in electric-pencil) with a four digit number that is non-matching to the receiver. Rifle exhibits approximately 95% of it's parkerized showing a blued band on the barrel where to rear sight collar would sit, and a heavy amount of handling marks/scuffs with little finish loss. Action is smooth, the bore is excellent, the markings are very good and the wood stocks are fine. Condition is NRA Very Good+++ as sporterized. ***C&R Firearm***
