Smith and Wesson Military & Police Model revolver, .38 S&W Special caliber, Serial #S956528. The pistol is in fine overall condition with a 4” barrel. The pistol retains approximately 95% of its muted bluefinish with light wear at the muzzle and a faint drag line on the cylinder. The pistol features vivid case colors on the hammer and trigger. The checkered wood medallion grips are in very good condition with small marsand compressions consistent with use. The bore is good, the action crisp and markings are sharp. The pistol includes a Smith and Wesson factory letter confirming all features and indicating shipment to W. Bingham Co.,Cleveland, OH., on November 7, 1947. This is an excellent example of what would later be known as the Model 10. From the estate of Larry Gaertner. Est.: $400-$800. (C+R)
