Smith and Wesson 1st Model Hand Ejector revolver, .44 S&W Special caliber, Serial #13556. The pistol is in very good overall condition with a 6 ½” barrel. The pistol retains approximately 85-90% of its bluefinish with light wear at the muzzle and a small area of pin prick pitting on the frame. The pistol features a five screw frame with muted case coloring on the hammer and trigger. The checkered wood medallion gripsare in very good condition with small mars and some flattening of the checkering. The bore is good, the action is crisp and markings are sharp. The pistol includes a Smith and Wesson factory letter confirmingall features indicating that the pistol was shipped to Paxton and Gallagher, Omaha, NE., on January 17, 1917.
