WWII era British military magazine-fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British. Produced in the United States by Savage-Stevens for the war effort via the lend-lease program. Features a blued finish, 25.2" barrel with integral bayonet lugs, shrouded patridge front sight, receiver mounted flip-up dual aperture "L" rear sight, attached MK. II round spike bayonet, two barrel bands, smooth trigger, detachable 10 round magazine, manual safety on the left side of the receiver, green canvas sling, integral charge loading guide cuts in the receiver, smooth full-length wood handguard & forend and straight grip shoulder stock with trapdoor metal buttplate. The left side of the receiver is marked "U.S. PROPERTY", [flaming bomb] and "S No 4 Mk 1*". Serial numbers match on the receiver & bolt handle and the rifle displays several small "S" stamps on various components. Rifle retains approximately 25% of it's blued finish showing a large amount of thinning with the the balance drifted to brown patina. Action is smooth, the bore is excellent and the wood stocks are very good. Condition is NRA Good+++ . ***C&R Firearm***
