Peter Crisp 22K Lapis Lazuli Glass Bowl
For your consideration is a Peter Crisp 22K Lapis Lazuli glass bowl and charger. Peter Crisp has been working since 1978 with glass molding techniques using the fused and slumped method. Having studied at Sydney College of the Arts, Crisp has exhibited his work in more than 60 exhibitions both in Australia and abroad. His work relates itself to ancient Egyptian glass working practices by using modern molding materials and equipment. Crisp produces three highly individual designs which are decorated by hand with 22 carat gold. To take advantage of its greater strength, Skoda type lass is used. Peter Crisp is well known for his tableware decorated with screen-printed patterns, 22ct gold and semi-precious gems. This little square bowl with the royal bluebell design is the simplest of his works. The glass beads have grown into jeweled hemispheres of Lapis Lazuli embedded in the glass. Each piece of work created is signed 'Crisp'. Crisp glass is an investment in fine art and is chosen by discerning collectors around the world for its quality and creative craftsmanship. The bowl measures approximately 6” x 6”.
