Non-Restricted rifle Mauser model 98, 7.92mm bolt action, w/ bbl length 24" [Blued barrel and receiver. Fixed front and adjustable rear sight. Full wood military stock with metal butt plate. Includes grenade launcher and leather pouch for holding launcher, barrel wrench and sight plus an inert anti-personnel grenade with rifled bakelite base and tip. Top of receiver has had markings mechanically removed. Markings include "1981M", "D0170" and "7.9" on top of barrel, "MOD.98" on left side of receiver. Matching serial number on base of trigger guard and stock, non-matching number on bolt " 5742", "gqm" and "43" on butt plate, "G147R" on rear sight, "7172" on front band. German military markings on bolt, barrel bands,butt plate etc. Markings on grenade launcher sight include "G", "G", "r", "G" "er" , "K98k" on lower mount, "euh", "G3355" and German military stamp on left side etc. Markings on grenade launcher include "5" and German military mark on rifled barrel, "G", "G", "r", Ger", "ch" and German military proof marks on bottom etc. Markings on leather grenade launcher pouch include "cxb42" and German military proof marks on belt loop etc. Stock has addition through bolts in pistol grip area, crack on stock leading back 1 1/2" from upper tang, action and trigger appear to function well. Age appropriate nicks and gouges in wood and other use, handling and storage marks.] serial # 1981M, PAL required
