Navajo Sterling Silver Hand Made Earring Set
Offered in this lot is a collection of eight pairs of Navajo Native American Silver Earrings. The first pair is made of three bands of silver in a curve. This pair of earrings would match a bracelet of the same style. The earrings are 3/4" X 3/4" and marked Sterling. The next pair is made of two silver fans with a hinge in the center. They are 2" X 1 1/4" and are stamped Sterling. The next pair are small 3/4" Kachina dancers on posts. These earrings are etching with exquisite detail and bear a Sterling and artist mark on the back. The next pair is a large pair of open hoops with silver beads. Each earring has ten hand made beads on a center hoop, the hoop is 1 1/2" across. The next pair of earrings are silver ball studs with a ring that holds four bands of flat silver in graduated length. The brightness of these bands dance with movement. The bands are from 1" to 1/2" in length. The next pair are very small 1/2" detailed roadrunner birds on studs. The detail on such small earrings is very fine. The next two sets are of coin cut-outs. the one set is cutouts of 1936 Indian Head nickel and the other set are cut-outs of 1938/1940 Mercury / Liberty Head dimes. the Mercury heads have wire hooks but the Indian heads do not.
