Mauser C96 .30 Cal SN: 905239
Pistol, semi-automatic. 5 1/2" barrel. Action locks up tight, 50-1000 meter adjustable sights. This is the M30 (Modell 1939) "Broomhandle" pistol, in .30 Cal. (7.65x21mm Parabellum). This was the first C96 variant to have an official factory designation. This is a late M30, with the serial number on the top of the barrel extension, behind the rear sight. The number on top of the charging handle is mismatched. Pistol has the proper "Waffenfabrik Mauser" markings for this model on the top of the barrel, and the right side of the frame. There are two crown over U, proof marks (1891-1939) on the left side of the barrel, and on top of the charging handle. There is a 7, stamped on the underside of the barrel. The larger Mauser banner is on the left side of the frame. There is a stamp (illegible) on the rear of the hammer. There are three small Chinese ideographs on the left side/bottom of the magazine, meaning "Made in Germany". also, there are two small Chinese characters etched on the right side of the barrel below the chamber opening. Last, there is an import mark, "7.65 Germany" on the left side of the barrel. Pistol's finish is brown patina, with light pin-prick pitting on the frame. Some small sctraches through- out. Grips are "Red Nine" reproductions. Bore is a little rough. With the proper grips, it would not be a bad representative M30, that saw use in China. NRA Condition-Good. Modern Firearm.
