The sheath’s outside edge is adorned with long hand cut Indian tanned hide fringe and shows a top hide strap which is completely covered in rope glass trade seed beadwork with a cobalt blue. The bag shows beadwork with all glass trade seed beads in cobalt, chalk white, greasy white heart blue, red and greasy yellow. The sheath shows beadwork across both sides, a rare addition, in very good condition with little to no bead loss. The piece shows a nice traditional beadwork pattern that displays very well. Provenance: From a collection out of Big Sky, Montana from a Yellowstone Club estate. The measurements of this sheath are 14.5”L by 5”W including the fringe and top strap or belt strap. The sheath area itself without top strap and fringe measures 6.75”x2”.
