“As I grew up, I spent hours mesmerized as I watched my father turn elements for Early American furniture he made for the family. It wasn’t until I inherited his tools that I attempted to try woodturning. I have been turning since 2005. Upon my retirement, I decided to try turning thin, piercing, and texturing. With my pierced pieces, I try to create pieces that have some movement in their design.”

Kathleen has demonstrated turning thin and piercing locally and regionally. She is currently a member of Cascade Woodturners, Southwest Washington Woodturners, the Pacific Northwest Woodturners Guild, and the AAW. She served two terms on the AAW Board of Directors and was chair of the WIT committee for 7 years.
