Jägermeister’s flask constructed from shoulder bones of oxen and completely carved in ancient scenes showing chariots, game, mythical beasts and demons. Finely carved figures of beasts hold rings for a carrystrap. The spout is carved with a boar’s head with matching fringe and strap. The condition is very good showing minor aging and discolorations. Measuring 21” x 13”, this is the most elaborately decorated andbest quality of the three illustrated examples we could find in research books. Circa 17th-19th Century from the area of Central Europe, probably Germany. Visually dynamic, the flask would make an impressivewall hanging suitable for a sophisticated European Arms or museum collection. Est.: $5,000-$10,000.
