Featured in this lot we have an Iver Johnson Champion, Single-Shot shotgun, chambered for 20 gauge. The shotgun was manufactured between 1940-56. The shotgun has a 28" blue'd barrel, walnut fixtures, and a case hardened receiver. The shotgun is marked in numerous places, reading; "Champion - Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works - Fitchburg. MASS. U.S.A." on the left side of the receiver, "-12 GAUGE FULL CHOKE. BARREL AND LUG FORGED IN ONE" on the top of the barrel, and serial number "78210" on the lower tang. The shotgun shows good mechanical and aesthetic condition overall for its age with some cracks on the stock where it meets the tang. The plastic owl butt-pad is absent of cracks, and the barrel along with the frame show a warm patina. The butt stock does shows some minor wear. Mechanically, the shotgun has a solid hammer and trigger, as well as a strong case extractor with some excess movement in the ejector switch. Serial Number: 78210 This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic Long Gun, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
