The lock is marked, “R.T.” (Possibly indicating Pritchett) in block letters. The musket shows scattered light to slightly heavy pitting with old chemical cleaning to grey metal. The stock is only fair with losses around the butt plate. The barrel has been bored out to smooth bore, with thenipple protector retained and no ramrod. Robert Taylor Pritchett (R.T.) was a well-known exporter to the Confederacy and the musket retains a paper tag (#25) from the Fred Slayton Confederate Arms collectioncirca 1989. Est.: $700-$1,400.
