Colt SAA Revolver in .45 L.C. caliber with a 4 barrel, patina finish, and hard rubber grips, S/N 184874 made about 1899. Good metal surfaces with strong traces of blue and case within darkened natural patina. Good address and markings. The front sight is its unaltered full height. The grips are worn with large chip from the left heel but fit impeccably and undoubtedly the originals. Tight action and bore shows wear and only fair but may clean. Estate consigned. Factory letter states .45/c, 4 ¾” barrel, blue finish, stocks not listed, Shipped to: Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Company, Chicago, Illionis, March 29, 1899, 3 guns in shipment. Remarks state the records also contain another listing for his serial number that indicates the revolver was a .41 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel and a blue finish.
