Colt SAA Revolver in .38-40 caliber with a 7 barrel, blue and case hardened finish, and carved medallion grips, S/N 255932. The revolver shows most of the original and colorful case hardening on the frame and hammer. The barrel and ejector rod housing along with hi points show holster wear on the left from carry on the right side. The straps show 30%-50% blue and losses from handling. The cylinder shows 50%-70% blue with deep index line and losses of finish at front from firing. The grips are not a perfect fit and from another Colt showing “War Eagle”. The grips are very good with minor cracks and yellowing. Front sight reduced slightly. The action locks up tight and bore bright. Case colors are 80%-90% and with great rainbows remaining. Factory letter states .38/40 caliber, 7 ½” barrel, blue finish, stocks not listed, Shipped to Browning bros, Ogden, Utah, July 20, 1904, 2 guns in shipment.(C& R/PPT) Est.: $2000-$4000
